A ready to enjoy muscle car with a beautiful base/clear paint finish, all new interior and vinyl top, 427ci V8 power with Hurst-shifted 4-speed manual transmission. In addition, this classic Chevy has power disc brakes, power steering, Auburn 3.55 Posi, Edelbrock aluminum heads, intake, and so much more. A dynamo sleeper! History Of The Chevy Nova II: The third generation of the Chevrolet Chevy II Nova would come in 1968 with an all new redesign and styling upgrades. 1968 would also be the last year the model would carry the Chevy II designation and would later become just Nova. This change made the 1968 model uniquely badged inside and out. The chassis would grow to 111 inches and utilize a sub-frame front end suspension system for the first time. This allowed for better road manners and a lighter overall platform. The Chevy II Nova would be offered in a 2-door post Coupe, Hatchback, and 4-door Sedan with 15 different engine options, including the Super Sport Performance Package. About Our Available Pontiac Chevy II Nova For Sale: Offered here is a beautifully restored 1968 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova Coupe finished in gorgeous Lime Green Metallic with Black vinyl roof over a Black Vinyl bench seat interior. This outstanding example has been treated to a very comprehensive nut and bolt restoration completed between 2006 and 2008. It features a professionally rebuilt 427ci V8 4-bolt main V8, 4-speed manual transmission, and 3.55:1 Posi- Traction! Other options include power front disc brakes, power steering, headrests, front and rear seatbelts, dual outside mirrors, Panasonic AM/FM/CD audio system with upgraded speakers, SunPro instrumentation with tachometer, and 14" rally wheels with slightly staggered Uniroyal raised white letter tires measuring 215/70R14 up front and 225/70R14 at the rear. Beginning with a 6-cylinder Chevy II Nova, this example was completely stripped to its foundation in April 2006. By May, any and all rusted areas were removed and replaced with new metal panels supplied through Gateway Reproductions. This included new full length interior floor panels, new 3-piece trunk pan, trunk drop-offs, rocker panels, rear quarter panels, front fenders, and new replacement 2" cowl style hood. This particular example was literally rebuilt from the ground up to ensure owner confidence for years to come! An eye-catching Nova that would be carefully primed and block sanded before receiving 4 base coats of Lime Green Metallic urethane base-coat, as well as, 3 coats of clear. It is superbly smooth with high gloss! The front chassis would be fully rebuilt with new cross member, big block engine mounts, coils springs, all new disc brake components, and suspension equipment. The 427ci V8 would be completely rebuilt using 9.5:1 compression pistons and rings, performance camshaft, all new bearings and gaskets, 4-barrel carburetor, long tube headers, 2.5" dual exhaust system, Griffin aluminum 3-row performance radiator with new water pump, Pertronix Ignitor solid state ignition system, rebuilt starter and alternator, along with an all new engine wiring harness. A Hurst Competition Plus shifter was fitted to the 4-speed Saginaw transmission along with a Centerforce dual friction clutch kit, all new fuel tank, fuel lines, brakes lines, sub-frame connectors, multi-leaf rear springs, new KYB shocks, rebuilt 10-bolt rear differential by Ron's Machine Service with Factory 10 axles featuring ½" lugs and an Auburn 3.55 Posi-traction gear set were all fitted! A truly outstanding performance platform hides underneath this rather unsuspecting Nova that would make even Yenko Chevrolet proud. New chrome bumpers were installed, all new window gaskets and seals, door and trunk weather stripping, side marker and taillight lenses and bezels; all new interior from the carpet to the headliner, new dash pad, door panels and handles, seat-belts, and far too much more to list. Since completion, the same proud owner has added less than 3,000 miles to his cherished Chevy II Nova, using it for cruise nights and summer car shows only. In 2018, the engine was enhanced even further with the addition of the Edelbrock Performer RPM 540hp top end kit! This kit includes new Edelbrock Rolling Thunder camshaft, push rods, aluminum heads and air gap intake, and timing chain. A new Quick Fuel Technologies (QFT) Brawler 750cfm double pumper carburetor was selected. At that same time, the brake system received a new brake booster and master cylinder along with an air pump for optimum vacuum pressure. You would be hard pressed to build a better Nova, especially compared at the price this stellar example is offered at today! It is a real head turner at shows with gleaming paint under the sun, and certainly gets noticed going down the street. Act quickly GM fans! If you don't already have a Nova in your collection, trust us when we say that they don't get too much better than this! Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1968 Chevrolet NOVA recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1968 Chevrolet NOVA problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.
