Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1966 Pontiac CATALINA recalls can be found in this database. Additional Description: Pontiac really understood how to bring performance and luxury in equal measures. The best way to see it is on this 1966 Pontiac Catalina convertible. It's cool color and curvy bodylines are balanced with a spacious interior and a large 389 V8. The color that's instantly grabbing your attention is called Iris Mist. It's a color Pontiac had for a brief time in the '60s, and it really knows how attract attention today. This is a later application of nice quality, so you have the choice of letting it remain looking like it's original-style or buff it out to radiate in the sunlight. But it's more than just the paint that makes this full-size drop-top so attractive. This is the era where the sheetmetal carried the Coke bottle curves that we all loved so much. And the way the panels look on this one tells you that they respected this curvaceous sheetmetal. This Pontiac really has substance within its style. The quad grille, stacked headlights, and mirror-like chrome bumper that hugs the curves really makes a terrific first impression. The rear has amazing symmetry as both the bumper and fenders extend beyond the taillights. And even the details are great on this convertible from the cursive fender scrip to the wire wheel covers. If you like the way the black roof looks against the paint, then with the flip of a switch, you'll love to see it power down to reveal the full black interior. This has a great style where the stitching of the seats is repeated on the door panels, and the whole setup has a deep and dark appearance that allows the trim to really pop. This is a full-sized machine, so that means plenty of room to take family and friends along for the ride. But even when you're just cruising solo, this Pontiac is a great machine. A power seat and fold-down armrest means it's easy to find your individual level of comfort. The factory dual-spoke steering wheel gives you an excellent view of the full gauge panel, including the ultra-wide speedometer, added auxiliary readouts, and factory tach. The engine bay has a little extra flair thanks to the polished air topper, valve covers, and alternator. But what you'll really love is that this is Pontiac's famous 389 cubic-inch motor. Fans of the GTO know this V8 well, and it's a great powerplant to have here, too. There's a bit more grand touring weight in the full-size Catalina compared to the Goats, but that isn't a problem for this big power, four-barrel carb motor. Then you add in great features like the three-speed automatic transmission, power brakes, power steering, and a supple ride. It's this powerful operation and luxury cruising attitude that makes the convertible so desirable. This is the distinct Pontiac that runs strong and turns heads. We all this kind of distinction, but there's only one up for grabs, so call today!
