Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1978 Ford F-150 recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: 1978 Ford F-150 - 351ci V8 - 4x4 - Jade Green Metallic over Black and White interior - Mickey Thompson Wheels - (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) In the late 70's Ford advertised their line of trucks as "All Out Tough", or "Tough All Over". The big Green F-150 that we're proud to offer for your consideration definitely falls into the 'tough' category. This truck is capable and looks the part with a 351 V8 under the hood, dark green paint, plaid trimmed seats, and Mickey Thompson wheels. Not only does it look the part, but it is in great condition all around - this truck is one to consider for any Ford Truck enthusiast. According to documentation, this truck was sold to a gentleman in Southeastern Michigan by Larkins Ford of Flat Rock Michigan. The truck was delivered July 14, 1978. Finished in Jade Metallic Green (code 8) over black interior, this truck has understated looks, but don't let that fool you. This pickup has a lot going for it. A repaint in the original color was completed approximately 15 years ago and looks as though it was done professionally. The paint is even and glossy, there is no evidence of overspray on trim, and the chrome bumpers and brightwork look great. Inside the truck is an extremely clean interior finished in black with black and white plaid inserts on the white bench seat. Other interior details are 3 spoke steering wheel, radio delete, auxiliary oil pressure gauge, white matching headliner, column shifter, and drive select lever on the floor. Under the hood is a 351ci V8 mated to a 3 speed automatic transmission. The engine bay is clean and detailed with the engine painted that familiar Ford blue. Power steering and power disc brakes in the front are hidden behind the 15" Mickey Thompson wheels. This truck has an awesome look, and is in awesome condition. "All Out Tough" describes this big Green Ford pickup well, and for the right Ford truck collector it won't be tough to make a bit of room for it in their garage.
