Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1991 Porsche 911 recalls can be found in this database. Additional Description: This C2 has been a dedicated track car since it was converted from a streetcar in the mid 2000's. It has been used as a DE car, PBOC racer (R-5, R-4), and as a NASA time trial car. The car is in very good condition for a long-term race car. It has the original body panels and the frame measured straight. Major work was done in the late 2000's and just this year head valve springs were replaced and the transmission received a new third gear and bell housing. The engine is a purpose-built with 3.8 pistons. The engine was rebuilt in 2009 with 103,198 miles. The build also added an RS Pully, JB racing Valve spring retainers, Elgin cams, Custom JB racing headers, and JB Racing exhaust. The gearbox is a close-ratio G50. 1st, 2nd and third gears are taller, 4th is near stock, 5th is slightly shorter. It's set up for Sebring, ideal for 2-2.5 10-20 turn road course. The suspension is 964 Cup Cars suspension (springs shocks swaybars) Racing Camber Plates and TechArt front strut Brace. RS Steering Box (no power assist) The Safe Racer Halon 3-nozzle fire system was installed in 2008. PBOC /NAA legal custom welded roll cage and NASCAR-style doors bars were installed in 2010. The 17 gal. fuel cell which is hooked up to the fuel gauge. The interior has been stripped, (windows out, dash out, HVAC out, e-brake removed) but tastefully redone with lightweight carpet, RS door pulls and Sparco seats, Pop off Momo Steering wheel, TechART Pedals, Tech Art Shifter and lots of Rennline parts. Stock Orginal panels, no history of severe street or racing incidents. Matching Midnight Blue Techart Tail and front splitter. As the selling dealer, I'm not familiar with track policies and track inspections. I assume that the next owner will be familiar with those and will understand that some updating will need to be done to regain track certification.
